Richard's photographic skills have been developing at a fair old rate (pun not intended). He bought a digital SLR camera a couple of years ago and basically practised taking hundreds and hundreds of shots of wildlife near our house. Lots of scenery with moving creatures in the foreground, focusing on different parts of the image. Then last year he bought a camera with lots of lenses and filters. It's the sort of camera where I can't get anything even vaguely focused out of it (I need a small "point and shoot" camera with autofocus and image stabilisation), but someone with a steady hand who knows the equipment can get near-professional quality out.
